Wood is a natural material that reacts to changes in moisture. To help prevent warping, cupping, or cracking, we strongly recommend sealing your table after purchase. A quality wood sealant helps slow moisture absorption and release, allowing the wood to adjust more evenly over time. For best results, all surfaces—including the end grain—should be sealed. While sealing greatly reduces the risk of movement, it cannot completely prevent warping if the table is exposed to extreme or prolonged moisture conditions.
